ALL GIRLY IN PRINTS

Tuesday, February 17, 2015

Hi y'all.

How was your valentines? Was it everything you expected or like me you realize that it is very overrated. Don't let me deter your better judgement. All I know is that it's important to appreciate the people you love when you can. Moving on.

Ladies, am sure you all have items that literally reach out to your feminine side. When you wear them you feel more girly than usual. I bet it's the same for men but well, it's always more complicated with women.

For me, it has to be a dress, a skirt with drama and a flare, heels and a clutch.
How could I not include a clutch. I remember having this notion while growing up that a clutch bag really defines how mature you are. I always adored my mothers purses and clutches, so much so that one Sunday I refused to go to church until she let me carry one (I think I was 11)... the only reason I could give was that I wanted to look more grown-up...(just laughing at the memory).

What would a lady be without her smile? Like really. It's a priced possession.

A girly look is almost not complete without heels. When I bought these heels, I meant for them to be a souvenir (I have this habit where I buy clothes and shoes just for their beauty, just to have them in my closet and awe at them), I didn't think I could even stand in them let alone walk in them.

Ladies, no one said you have to be in heels all the way through your day. I always have a pair of flats/sandals tucked away. No need to hurt your back too early.

On my lips, Signature pink...I don't use it often because its too mild on my lips...and I like bold.

My love for nature goes on.

I'm nowhere close to being done with prints. This time I chose a body-con dress in animal prints (worn as top), to go with the velvet flare skirt.

Let down my braids for a more easy, free and friendly look. I hold it up for a fierce and sophisticated look, which I find intimidating at times.

I have just now realized that like 80% of my accessories are in gold and pearls...call it an obsession maybe.

I really tried with the back view.

Bodycon dress - Thrifted. Kshs 50.
Skirt - Thrifted. Kshs 100
Heels - Gikomba. Kshs 100
Neckpiece + Earrings - Stage Market. Kshs 250
Pearl Bracelet - Moi Avenue. Kshs 100
Clutch - Part of this bag.

It's so easy to look good without spending much. That's the reason I've included the prices today. Ladies, no pressure. Thrift your way to fabulous looks without shame....I know I do.

That's it for today loves.

Have a fruitful day ahead. Be sure to share the post and tell a friend.

As always, thanks for stopping by.

XO

Linet.
