CLOSET TRANSITIONS: UNI TO OFFICE

How has your weekend been? Mine has been a little weird since I left my phone at work on Friday....I have a habit of losing my phone temporarily, no idea how I do that. For that reason, I've missed my Instagram escapades...but am back now. Hope yours was much more organized.
Am starting to get a routine with my posting, hope y'all okay with two posts per week....unfortunately responsibilities call.
In the last post, I mentioned how am having a huge dilemma with my after school situation...you can take the cross roads above to be symbolic. I got such a good response from the encouraging comments and I do feel much better after reading them. So today's post is for my fellow final year college students, in the fashion sense though.
I hate saying this but I hate my attachments for only one reason, dressing codes.I got official outfits for my attachment last year but I've since lost weight so I need others....funny enough all other outfits fit me the same.
With the transition from chic, edgy, unique, crazy college outfits to office wear, you want to maximize your closet. Make sure that at least half your outfits are multipurpose....this is where my outfit comes in. I got this pretty little jacket/blouse for my internship but then ended up wearing it casually....win win for me.
You can switch the pants for a pencil skirt/official pants and you are good to go for the office. You can still wear this look to the office on Fridays, but with the pants folded down. For those still in college though, or self employed, or just not in a restricted work environment....feel free to rock this look any day, anywhere....except the red carpet, Lol!
Also remember to follow me on all my social pages, the links are at the very top of the page. You can also join this site from the link on the sidebar, so you don't miss out on any post.
Crossroads...how did I get here?? Coincidence? Maybe
Am honestly surprised these shoes have come this far. For Kshs 100 (1 dollar) at Muthurwa, I didn't expect to wear them more than thrice........they were worth every single shilling and more.
Am looking at the numbers here, trying to find some meaning.....nothing comes up. Oh, wait....two numbers here form my current age. Just another coincidence.
Florals and more flowers.
Innocence within, so genuine.
Whatever happened to the good old loose powder.....lesson learnt, never leave the house without it.
Once a nature lover, always a nature lover.
Floral Jacket/Blouse - Thrifted Kshs 100
White pants - Thrifted (Tom Mboya street) Kshs 100
Shoes - Muthurwa Kshs 100
Ring - Mums'
There you have it muffins, make your closet work for you.
As always, thanks for stopping by.
Have a great week ahead.
Much love
Linet.

DeleteThis would be such a fun outfit to wear to the office! I've been wearing black and white and grey only, lately, and it's been boring me a bit; this is such a great outfit! Love the pink shoes, too!

Black and white can be boring at times, especially to the office....a touch of prints can do the trick. Thanks for stopping by.

DeleteBeautiful, I just want you to know you're my favorite girl.... :) I think it's absolutely brilliant that you paired this floral piece with white pants - I have always seen it done the other way around so this is a new take on the floral look for me. And the way white looks on your skin is just amazing :)
