'Your Personality is what makes you sexy' - Mollie King.

How are you doing ladies and gents?
Don't you just love ushering in the weekend? I do, hope you feel the same way too on this beautiful day.
I can't believe I just used 'Sexy' on the title, but am not taking it back. No apologies.
I am extremely allergic to cold, so much so that I have lost weight (10Kgs) to a common cold / flu (blessings in disguise)....that was 2 years ago but I learnt my lesson.
While growing up, my mum would always say "Nkirote, just refuse to cover that chest.....do you know that the cold enters your body through your chest?". Maybe that was her way of getting me to wear sweaters....or maybe it was true.
Anyway, that's one of the most memorable warnings from my childhood....to date I still believe that cold enters the body through the chest, which is why covering my chest is the first thing I consider when going out during the night.
This look today is for all the party lovers who have no shame in rocking a simple Velvet short without being trashy. There is a thin line between Sexy and Trashy which makes it very easy to land in trashy. Don't take my words as the Gospel truth but I believe in the saying, "Never Show Too Much Leg Or Too Much Cleavage At The Same Time"..... I always go by this saying, plus my mums' warning always rings in my head in such moments.
I've corrected the followers widget on the sidebar, you can now follow this blog for updates on new posts so that you don't miss out.
Also follow me on other social sites for other updates. You can find all the links on the sidebar and just above the page are icons/buttons for each site. Thank you in Advance.
What rules do you observe when dressing up for a night out? Do share with me and other readers in the comment section, it could help out the rest of us.
Every lady needs a versatile blazer in her wardrobe. Whether in length, antique buttons, or color, find an element that makes it unique.....also make sure it goes with everything in your closet. This is my go-to blazer anytime.
I've been looking for mules for the longest time. These aren't mules exactly because of the sling back strap...however, they are close and the wedged heel caught my attention.
'Feeling myself ' in this black lippie....always elevates my mood.
"How I feel about myself is more important than how I look. Feeling confident, being comfortable in your own skin - that's what really makes you beautiful."
Bobbi Brown.
In case you didn't see the winged ring better in this post, here is a much clearer view.
Print top - Random thrifts
Jet Black Velvet Shorts - Gikomba
Blazer - Thrifted
Wedges - Aga Khan Walk.
Bronze winged Ring - Born Pretty Store
Cross body bag - Toi Market
Have a lovely weekend loves, have fun and stay safe.
As always, thanks for stopping by.

Kisses,
Linet Nkirote.

ReplyDeleteThat's a great blazer both in fit and colour, however when buttoned up the blazer looks like a really short dress which to me looks off. I prefer it buttoned down so as to show the shorts underneath but to each her own.
Princess Audu
It does look off as a short dress .
DeleteI just buttoned it up for the element of surprise when I buttoned it down. Thanks Sarah.
Great look and I was totally surprised with the shorts once the jacket was unbuttoned.Just followed you on GFC ..keep in touch.
ReplyDeleteThe surprise effect is what I was going for, glad it worked. Thanks for reading.
