GIRL IN A SKORT

 Hi Muffins.

I hold this outfit dear because it's not about what you wear, but the attitude you exude in what you wear. I choose to be happy, free and focused on my goals ahead, without losing my personality.

To all the strong women out there, who chose to be themselves and strive against all the inequities in their lives. Be pretty in your own skin, learn to love the person you are...then find happiness. Today's post focuses on that.

This outfit is simply a fun look that is so chic, cute, basic and easy to pull off. It involves a white skort , a maroon crop top and black stilettos. Pretty easy, right? Kept my accessories minimal with just metallic tattoos.

Approximately three years ago, I bought this skort in Gikomba, in fact I got it from a heap of kids clothes. I have worn it twice now and I admit I love the illusion.

A skort is simply a garment that has a layer of fabric or a skirt that surrounds a pair of shorts.

No talking much today, I'll let the pictures and quotes speak to you.

Breath gal, and stay focused.

“It's not really a shorter skirt, I just have longer legs...”

Anna Kuornikova

(Stilettos make sure I do have longer legs)

And the wind took charge.

"Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life.   Make  the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement."

Golda Meir

"Do not wish to be anything but what you are, and try to be that perfectly."
                                                          St. Francis De Sales

“The most important thing is to enjoy your life—to be happy—it's all that matters.”

Audrey Hepburn

Always talking.....had to get all the tats in plain view.

“Sometimes comfort doesn't matter. When a shoe is freakin' fabulous, it may be worth a subsequent day of misery. Soak in Epsom salts and take comfort in the fact that you're better than everyone else.”

Clinton Kelly

I love these shoes but I won't lie to you that I can walk in them for long....am still learning, baby steps. No pressure ladies...that's why we have flat shoes.

This is my favorite of all the quotes. I'm working on doing just that right now and your post was a great reminder. Thanks much for posting this, and I love the skort, so uniquely you!
