HELLO MUFFINS,
Wonder not why I begin this post in caps lock...these greetings have been long overdue, feels like forever since I last posted.
In the last post I mentioned that I would go MIA..well, I did. Went to the Masai Mara on a school trip. All I could do was keep my social pages updated as I left my blogging 'career' in the city and put my relax game on. Anyway, am back now and as I promised I do have good things in store for you, don't miss out.
So, moving on to this outfit. I have a huge obsession for play-suits/rompers, so much so that I've been collecting them since February last year. I have over ten now and this is among my longest ones.
Rompers were meant to be fun and playful as the name suggests. This fits very well with this month that means holiday time for most of us. When I first saw this H&M romper, I felt that it was perfect for holiday, picnics and all the outdoor activities that need you to relax and let go. I overlooked that part though by wearing heels (cause I think it would look more relaxed & fun friendly in sneakers, converse or doll shoes...just my opinion though), REASON: I never thought I could wear these hues (shades of green and cobalt blue) together but I challenged myself and I love how it turned out. It's like wearing pink and red...just the thought of it gives me jitters.
As cute as they are, rompers also happen to be very very short. I have explained my experience and where I stand with short clothes in the Mini post. It's almost obvious then that I'd never walk in this one without a cover-up. What other way to do so by going light with this chiffon Kimono. When I bought it I had big issues with the arms, so I had it caped to give it an edge.
Topped it off with these cute sunglasses, a hat, loop earrings and a clutch.
Green Kimono - Thrifted Kshs 50
Light green Play-suit - Gikomba Kshs 30
