TRAVEL DRESS CODE : DO YOU HAVE ONE?

How is your week so far? Hopefully yours is better than mine....but am not complaining.
Today's post is about travel dress codes. Personally I don't have one mainly because I usually dress according to the mood I'm in despite the weather or the occasion. However, for some of us, we have some pieces that we prefer when travelling and sightseeing.
What I don't lack though is pants, sunglasses, dresses, shorts, sandals, light fabric tops, loud accessories, and a sizable sling bag.....mainly because most travelling happens in the sunny season and involves lots of walking/hiking.
I'll feature two looks that I loved most from my most recent travel escapades one from Masai Mara and the other from Samburu. As you can see from both looks, I have no travel dress code. I tend to carry loads of clothes when travelling then pair them whichever way I like.
MASAI MARA
Pants : Thrifted | Bralette : Gikomba | Vest : Thrifted | Booties : Gikomba | White hat : Gikomba | Bracelets : Masai Mara | Sunglasses : Stage Market | Bag : Gikomba
SAMBURU
I kid you not when I say this, Samburu / Isiolo is very hot. I started out with this sleeveless denim jacket which I ended up taking off because it was scorching hot. Luckily though, I was in a very weather friendly maxi dress which is made of some light stretch fabric.
Denim Jacket : Gikomba | Maxi dress: Muthurwa | Sandals : Muthurwa | Bag : Moms'
So, do you have a travel dress code and if so, what pieces are your essentials when travelling?
That's it for today munchkins.
Have a blessed day ahead.
Much Love,
Linet

DeleteI'm.loving that dark lippie Linet! It goes so well with your maxi dress. I think the most important thing when traveling is to be comfortable! That is always key. More so when its a long distance journey. Can't wait to visit all those places. Our country is so beautiful! And we have the prettiest girls on planet earth! And you my dear, are one of them..

Thanks doll.
DeleteYou have a very exotic look and I love that dark lippy on you. You remind me of Alek Wek, so beautiful. The dark lippy is perfect with your black maxi dress. I guess comfort is my travel dress code especially if it's a long trip. I also always overpack. Never travelled light before which is really sad.

DeleteLadies will always over pack to be on the safe side.
