MODEST SKIRT + PLUNGING NECKLINE

Hi Munchkins.

Am pretty sure we all have several outfits that make you feel more mature and confident for some reason. For me it's anything modest. For the longest time I used to loathe modest clothes, probably because I love pretty short clothes as they reflect my personality more. However, in the recent past I have learnt to adjust my style to accommodate different outfits. This skirt is one such piece, you might remember it from this post.

Believe me, there are so many ways you can get this skirt length wrong, especially when the skirt itself is plain. Therefore, I always pair it with tops/blouses that have more color and character in them. In this case I chose a plunging neck-line to keep the outfit fun yet decent enough for a
semi-formal occasion.

The thing with a plunging neckline is: you can either use minimal, or loud accessories cause there is more than enough room for both. I'll always choose minimal accessories, you can almost never go wrong with minimal.

Which pieces in your closet make you feel more mature?

Do enjoy the post loves.
I love you all and I appreciate the support thus far.

The owl is peeking because I am still obsessed with it.
It's cute and adorable in the right doses.

I wonder why my accessories are always much more expensive than my shoes and clothes....it's ridiculous.
For all the thrift shoppers around the world, feel no shame and keep on getting those bargains right....work with what you have.

As always, thank you for reading.

Have a blessed week ahead munchkins.

Much Love

  6. Love the blouse, especially the back! It's a pleasant surprise. While in Europe, I saw this neck piece with a cute owl hanging on it. I immediately thought of yours. I really regret not buying it, but it was between that and shoes, so of course the shoes won!

Have you tried the silicone bras?? It would be of great help when showing off your back. Lingerie World (Moi Avenue) does have them.

  16. Great look Linet! I love the choice of color and accessories, can't believe that top is Kshs. 50... It looks like something off a runway haha! I think what makes me feel mature are the fitting official clothes I've been wearing lately, nice, dark colored pencil skirts and blouses.
